Manta Raya Hotel

My recent stay at the Manta Raya Hotel was quite impressive. The staff delivered a high standard of service, ensuring a genuinely luxurious experience. The food served was undeniably delicious, with a diverse menu that catered to various preferences. The rooms were spacious, featuring hammocks and offering stunning views. The design was tasteful, and the overall ambiance was comfortable and welcoming. The hotel's proximity to the beach was a plus, providing a peaceful and uncrowded environment. The pool was large and offered an amazing spot to relax. If you're looking for a hotel that combines a good level of luxury, attentive service, and appealing amenities off the beaten path, the Manta Raya is well-worth considering for an incredible vacation.

We are just wrapping up an incredible stay! The beach is wonderful and SUPER quiet. The staff is FANTASTIC from top to bottom with prompt service, lots of smiles, and a friendliness that made us feel like we were old friends visiting for a few days. Pedro and Frida (cat and dog) are super cute; be warned that Frida will bark when you first meet her but that's because she's a great guard dog who makes sure no one enters the property without permission. She's a sweet-heart and loves to play fetch on the beach. The palapas and lounge chairs are delightful and we spent 4 days mostly just relaxing in them. The staff arranged a very affordable beach side massage under open-air tent/canvas - it's charming and rustic in all the right ways. The food was INCREDIBLE; we enjoyed seared tuna, mandarin ice cream, beef filet in a pepper sauce, carrot soup, cordon blue, juevos rancheros, a tasty shrimp dish (wish I could remember the name)...the list goes on! It was so incredibly varied, all homemade and very affordable given the amazing view from the dining area. Anyone who has complained about the food needs to reset expectations - hotels at this price point don't usually come with stellar food. I've eaten at many $50USD+/plate restaurants who would be put to shame if compared to this place. And to think they are doing this all in a more rural area of Mexico! We stayed in the ground floor 'garden' unit. Although initially apprehensive, we found it so convenient with a 60 second walk to the beach AND very quiet. Sure, the top floor view is also worth it, but the price was right for us and we were a last minute booking. We would not hesitate to stay in this unit again. We can't say enough good things about our stay and are now reading the 1/2/3 star reviews thinking, "how did they have ANYTHING to complain about"!?! We looked at 30+ places under $300/nt before selecting this hotel. If you are looking for a fantastic beachside stay without breaking the bank, you will find all you need here at Manta Raya!
